Avani Doshi, Founder and Principal of A. Doshi LLC, is a CPA and a Chartered Accountant from India with global business experience including 10+ years each based in Asia-Pacific (India and China) and the United States.

Ms. Doshi started her career at a very highly regarded public accounting firm in Mumbai and went on to become Partner at an affiliated firm. In her 8 years of working in Mumbai, she did statutory and tax audits of publicly listed companies across a range of industries and several small and mid-sized family owned manufacturing and trading businesses. In addition, she prepared corporate and individual tax returns, represented clients in front of tax authorities and prepared and filed appeals for defending positions taken on clients’ tax returns.

Since emigrating to the United States nearly 20 years ago, Ms. Doshi has worked at a Big-4 public accounting firm where she served large publicly traded companies and privately owned smaller companies before moving on to a Fortune 125 global manufacturer where she gained valuable business and industry experience that enables her to approach her client’s business challenges with their perspective. 

Her expertise spans the range of finance functions with emphasis on US GAAP, SEC and SOX compliance, FP&A, budgetary compliance and FX risk management. Avani has significant experience on projects related to capex investments and divestitures, transfer pricing, cross-border tax planning, capital market transactions, treasury operations, investor relations and external stakeholder reporting. Additionally, she has in-depth experience supervising managers, facilitating succession planning and has developed and conducted formal training sessions throughout her career. 

Born and raised in India, Ms. Doshi has native proficiency in Gujarati and Hindi and professional working proficiency in Marathi. She continues to remain abreast of the business and regulatory environments in India through professional and personal ties.
